Manifolds

Each component attached to your car performs a variety of functions that are directly related to the performance of your vehicle. One of these is the exhaust manifold. The function of this exhaust system component may not be complex, but your vehicle would definitely not perform properly without them. Exhaust manifolds are a system of passages that routes the exhaust gases from the various exhaust ports toward the mufflers and catalytic converter of the exhaust system. The number and design of the exhaust manifolds depend on the cylinder heads to which they are attached for efficiency in gathering exhausts from each of the individual exhaust ports. A ticking, popping or tapping sound can be heard as an indication of a leaking exhaust manifold. A leaking manifold should be checked immediately, without proper repair additional more serious damage can occur to your vehicles engine.
